Nov 5 & 6 – Art Every Day Month

I’m not posting everyday, but I am certainly seeing the beauty of the changing landscape everyday and taking pictures of it everyday. There’s a tree on my route, a big tree. Full of leaves in the summer, and bare-boned in the winter. In the Fall, it sheds it’s autumn coat of leaves… very pretty and makes for lovely art.

Today is a special day for a special person in my life. She turns 14. To me, that’s a big number. A big number because it means she’s growing up and that’s always scary. Probably more for me than for her. *grin*

She’s also an amazing artist. She has a natural talent. I LOVE to see that blossom and to encourage it. As much as I can.

So for her birthday I’m posting on my AEDM Day 3, some birthday flowers and a drawing she did of me and her mom. It’s not my art, but I think everyone should see it anyway.

Happy Birthday Issa

Since I can't send a cake...

It’s a little late, but this little pumpkin just made me smile. We focus so much on the scary things about Halloween that I couldn’t help but want to add a bit of a smile. Candy. Orange, smiley, candy. A happy, bright, Day 2 of Art Every Day (would it be too much to add a smiley? :)).

Heart Leaves and Ruby

Heart Leaves and Ruby

I love Autumn in Seattle. I love the motion in this photo. The falling of the leaves, the shifting of the season, the air. Things are getting slower, colder, and more delicate.
